What engine options are available in the kia sonet?

kia sonet is a subcompact SUV, released in 2020, which is quickly making waves in the automotive industry for its sporty design and rich feature set. Its engine options are just as diverse, offering customers a range of options to suit their driving needs.

The base model of the Kia Sonet comes equipped with 1.2-liter petrol engine that produces 82bhp and 115 Nm of torque. This option is best suited to city driving and offers decent fuel economy of 17 km/l. If you're looking for something a bit more powerful, then you should opt for the 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 120 bhp and 172 Nm of torque. This option is perfect for those who need a bit more oomph on highways or during overtaking manoeuvres. It also comes with even better fuel efficiency, giving 18 km/l.

For those going green, Kia also offers an all-electric version of the Sonet on select markets. This is powered by 15 kWh battery pack with 136bhp and 254 Nm resulting in an all-electric range of 315 km on a full charge. Moreover, it offers rapid charging support up to 80% within an hour making it great choice for long trips as well.

Last but not least, diesel lovers can opt for Kia's versatile 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine that gives 100bhp and 240 Nm of torque allowing relatively frugal 14 km/l overall gasoline consumption figures.. It should be noted here that this engine offered exclusively with 6-speed AT gearbox only providing responsive driving experience on highways or steep hills forgetting about constant gear shifting hassle in traffic jams or city roads.
